Terms of Service & Release of Liability

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of CourtReporter.co and its related pages and features (the “Site”), which is owned and operated by DepoDepot of Lafayette, Louisiana (“DepoDepot,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing the Site, creating an account, claiming or submitting a listing, or otherwise using the Site, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

1. What CourtReporter.co Is

CourtReporter.co is a free, informational directory of court reporters, legal videographers, interpreters, and other legal-support professionals. It is provided as a convenience to help the public and the legal community locate professionals. We charge no fee to list, no fee to search, and we do not sell placement or ranking. We are an independent service and are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any other directory, website, association, or company.

2. Directory Listings; Public Information; Your Choices

Many listings are compiled from publicly available information about professionals and businesses (such as public rosters, licensing records, association directories, and business websites). Publishing truthful, publicly available business information is lawful and does not require consent. A listing does not imply that the listed person or business endorses, is affiliated with, or has any relationship with CourtReporter.co or DepoDepot.

You control your listing. If a listing concerns you or your business, you may (a) claim it to verify and edit the information, or (b) request its removal at any time by emailing support@depodispatch.com. We will unpublish a listing promptly on request. If you claim or submit a listing, you represent that the information you provide is accurate and that you are authorized to provide it, and you consent to its publication.

3. No Verification; Accuracy Disclaimer

We do not independently verify the licensure, credentials, certifications, availability, performance, or fitness of any professional or business listed on the Site, and we make no representation about them. Listing information may be incomplete, out of date, or inaccurate. You are responsible for independently confirming the qualifications and suitability of any professional before engaging them. The Site is not a referral service and does not recommend or vouch for any listed party.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: (a) use the Site for any unlawful, misleading, or fraudulent purpose; (b) misrepresent your identity or authority; (c) upload false, defamatory, or infringing content; (d) interfere with, disrupt, probe, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site or its systems; or (e) use the Site to harass any person. We may remove content and suspend or terminate access at our discretion.

5. Intellectual Property

The Site’s design, text, graphics, and compilation are owned by DepoDepot or its licensors and are protected by law. The words “court reporter,” “court reporters,” and similar descriptive terms are the ordinary, generic names of a profession and are used here only to describe the professionals in the directory; nothing in these Terms claims exclusive rights in those descriptive words.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SITE AND ALL LISTINGS AND CONTENT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT ANY LISTING IS ACCURATE OR CURRENT.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL DEPODEPOT OR ITS OWNERS, MEMBERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SITE OR ANY LISTING, WHETHER BASED ON CONTRACT, TORT, OR ANY OTHER THEORY, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. BECAUSE THE SITE IS PROVIDED FREE OF CHARGE, OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SITE WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US $100).

8. Release of Claims (Known and Unknown)

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you hereby release, waive, acquit, and forever discharge DepoDepot and its owners, members, managers, officers, employees, agents, affiliates, successors, and assigns (the “Released Parties”) from any and all claims, demands, causes of action, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses of every kind and nature whatsoever, whether known or unknown, suspected or unsuspected, disclosed or undisclosed, anticipated or unanticipated, that you now have, have ever had, or may hereafter have, arising out of or in any way relating to your access to or use of the Site, any listing, or any content on the Site.

You understand that this release covers claims you do not know or suspect to exist in your favor at the time of this release. You expressly and knowingly waive the benefits and protections of any statute or common-law rule that would otherwise limit a general release to claims known to the releasing party, including, to the extent applicable, the protections of California Civil Code Section 1542 and any similar law of any jurisdiction. California Civil Code Section 1542 reads: “A general release does not extend to claims that the creditor or releasing party does not know or suspect to exist in his or her favor at the time of executing the release, and that, if known by him or her, would have materially affected his or her settlement with the debtor or released party.” You waive any such protection to the fullest extent permitted by law.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Released Parties from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Site, your content or listing, or your violation of these Terms or any law or the rights of any third party.

10. Governing Law; Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Louisiana, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to the Site or these Terms will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Lafayette Parish, Louisiana, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

We may update these Terms from time to time; the “Last updated” date above reflects the current version, and your continued use of the Site constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
